Japanese Street Market (WIP)

This is a Japanese Street Market environment that I have been working on as a personal project for a while, now fully modeled. The concept is based on an artwork by Sylvain Sarralih, and I was also really inspired by Spirited Away, one of my favorite films of all time. I am responsible for all aspects of the environment, including the mountains made in Houdini and the foliage, which I made in SpeedTree. One of the hardest parts of the environment was extending it beyond the original art due to its aspect ratio, where I used numerous real-world references of Japanese architecture to model an extra hotel and restaurant front. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/048Z6y
